I had an open myomectomy to remove a baseball-sized fibroid from the rear outer wall of my uterus 6 weeks ago. Surgery went as expected and up until last week I was feeling pretty good. Sunday I got what I thought was my period though the flow was a little different in color. It has been over 8 days now and I have been having constant, sharp cramping all day with the flow which is unprecedented for me... I'm usually a 3-4 day flow with the first day being the worst. I talked to my doctor Friday for my 6 wk post op he said it didn't concern him at all, but I'm supposed to return to work this week and now I'm panicking that I'll be in so much pain I won't be able to do my job... Has anyone else had a similar experience?
