d & c cause infertility?

I am experiencing a missed miscarriage. It's awful and I just want it to be over and to move on. I told my doctor that I think I want to do the d&c but now I'm scared and second guessing myself. Did the d&c make it hard to get pregnant again or cause problems?

I had a missed miscarriage at 6w and found out at 11w.  I decided to let my body figure it out naturally because I was also nervous about a d&c.  After 6 more weeks of nothing happening my doctor finally said I needed to go in and I agreed.  I never had any cramping or anything more than light spotting around 14w.  I know they say it's one of the risks which is why I wanted to avoid it but in the end I had to or risk another set of problems.

I had a D&E for a missed miscarriage at 16 weeks. I regret it daily because little did I know that D&C and D&C can damage your cervix. I was pregnant years later and lost my son Leo due to incomp cervix bc of the past surgery. I am pregnant again now and very high risk and praying my cervix can hold. I would try for natural miscarriage or if your far along induce labor

I had a d and c in march at 10wks...still trying and currently cd33 with all neg tests. I have secondary infertility anyway so I cant say for sure I can give u my experience.

I had a D&C in January. I had a second miscarriage in May at 5 weeks (I don't think it had anything to do with the surgery) and am now 8 weeks 2 days.

I've had two second trimester miscarriages. For the first at 18.5, I was scheduled for a D&C, but had a natural miscarriage 2 hours before the surgery. It took 10 months to conceive again after that, which I lost at 16.3. I had a D&C for that one and conceived again after one month. I'm now 6 weeks and taking daily blood thinner injections. If I had to do it again, I would choose the D&C. It speeds up the process and helps you begin to heal faster emotionally. I'm so sorry you're faced with this decision.

I know how you feel! I tried the medicine, and it didn't work for me so I ended up scheduling a d&c! It's this Thursday and I'm so scared/asking the same questions too! Prayers for you!
