C-section experiences?

My family thinks I'm crazy but I honestly think I want a planned cesarean with my son, im not comfortable with normal birth I'm just really really small.. like before getting pregnant I had NO hips (still barely have any) and was 84 pounds. (Now 120) can anyone thats actually had a C-section tell me if it's better or worse and in what ways? My sister told me I wouldn't be aloud to see my baby for a few days but she's never had one and tbh that sounds ridiculous and unlikely.

I had an emergency cesarean, and I am FIGHTING for a vaginal birth for my second. 
I have an extremely high pain tolerance, so healing wasn't too bad, but I still struggled. I wanted to breastfeed, so all they gave me for pain was Motrin 800. My milk came in late because of the surgery, so breastfeeding was a fight and a doctor threatened to take my son away if I didn't supplement. (I found a different doctor that actually helped and sent me to a lactation nurse, breastfed for 2 years after that.) 
It can complicate any future pregnancies. I'm currently pregnant with #2 and I was diagnosed with placenta previa because of the scar tissue not allowing the placenta to attach in a proper spot.  
Overall, I wouldn't recommend scheduling a cesarean unless your doctor is concerned. I'd let mother nature take its course. 
Your sister is wrong though, as long as there are no complications, you see baby right after delivery for a little, then again as soon as you are closed up and in recovery.

That’s ridiculous lol you see the baby literally right away when they pull him out... anyways my c section was great. It was considered emergency because he was in distress. I didn’t want vaginal though, so I was fine with c section. Recovery I’m sure is ‘easier’ with vaginal but that definitely depends on the person. My best friend struggled with her recovery. (She didn’t even tear or anything so idk) But I was fine and up walking the same day (they make me get up) and when I got home, I moved fine. Only took my pain meds twice. 
You gotta talk to your doctor about your concerns because most likely they won’t plan a c section. They can see if he is positioned okay, and sometimes they do prefer c section if smaller. But not always.

Don’t do it just for that!! I’m 5’8 and was 115 pounds before getting pregnant. My hips and and whole frame is very small. Sex used to be painful for me because I’m very small down there too. My Obgyn had to use a child size speculum on me prior to giving birth....I pushed out a TEN POUNDER! The birth was hard, yes, I won’t lie. But there were no complications. It took almost 3 hours to push him out but there were no issues. I’m very glad I did it. I know sooooo many women who have had c sections and the recovery is awful. It’s long and painful and really hard to breastfeed and do skin to skin, etc. I know three women who had to have emergency c sections with their 2nd baby after vaginal deliveries with their first and they all say vaginal was far and away better. You heal so fast it’s crazy when doing a vaginal delivery. If I can push out a 10 pounder, anyone CAN! An emergency/medical reason c section is one thing; choosing it out of “convenience” is a different story. Trust me, it won’t be “convenient” at all when the baby arrives and you’re in too much pain to hold, cuddle and bresdtfeed your new bundle! I’m going vaginal with my 2nd without a doubt even if he/she is even bigger unless a c section is absolutely necessary for a medical reason. You can do it! When you’re in labor you’re not scared of the pushing. You are praying to get to the pushing! Lol.

I've had 2 vaginal births and 2 c sections. What your sister said isn't true unless there are serious complications. However, no way would I choose a c section over a vaginal birth unless I absolutely had to. The recovery was harder than I thought. With my vaginal births, I felt better than I had in weeks, after my c section I felt like I was hit by a bus and couldn't take care of my baby for 1.5 weeks. And if you want more kids after this, taking care of a baby plus toddler sucks. I'm 7 months post c section and my entire abdomen still hurts, like sore to the touch, and I didn't have complications with my healing. I'd definitely try a vaginal birth. It may be a tough day, but a tough day is better than a tough 2-4 weeks.

I’ve never had a cesarean and don’t plan on it but my sister did after labor complications and even we were able to see the baby right away when we got to the hospital (maybe 2-3 hours after delivery) so I can’t for the life of me understand why they would keep your baby away from you for days lol. I think your sister is tryna trick you. If you feel safe and comfortable with a cesarean then go for it! In the end all that matters is that you and baby are safe and healthy and happy. Not everyone wants to risk life and limb and sanity to deliver. Do what you feel is right and everything will be fine for you and little.

Oh, by the way,  what your sister said “might” be true. It depends on recovery. One of my sisters didn’t see her baby for 3 days because the c section caused such trauma to her body and she couldn’t move. My other sister saw hers hours later because hers was less traumatic. But none compare to you pushing your baby out and them placing him on your chest immediately. It’s the most amazing thing you’ll ever experience!

I ended up having a C-section. It wasn’t an emergency but it wasn’t planned at the start either. After 36 hours of prelabor nothing was happening so into the OR I went. My one request was that I had immediate interaction with my baby and that he would be put on my chest. It wasn’t an issue for my hospital at all and so I was the first person to hold my son. My husband then took him while they sewed me up.

I had a c section due to a failed induction. I cannot tell you how bad that pain was after. So horrible to the point where I cried my eyes out. You get to be with the baby  as soon as they're done stitching you up. Is this your first child? I don't see why there's a problem with having vaginal birth? Because if it was up to me I would have had one rather then a C-section. And it's up to your doctor if they want to give you a C-section or not I don't think you can plan that out

Well I had a vaginal birth but cesarean is a major abdominal surgery. You will take a while to heal and I have heard it’s painful.. not that vaginal is painfree but when the baby is out, you return to almost normal unless you tear. As for not seeing your baby for a few days.. im pretty sure thasnot true unless your baby goes to the nicu!

Its totally normal its your right as a woman to want a certain way of birth.  Its not true you will not see your baby for a few days. My friend recently had an emergency c section and she got to see her baby once she was sown up with her stitches but in this case the father is normally the one who greets baby first so yes there is that comfort where the father still can be in the room with u.
