What to do..?

Question

I ebf twins. They refuse to take any bottle. I have tried lots.

At night, from 21-02:30ish I nurse constantly. They won't take a bottle, and I have very little to give them. Its not even a 5 min break.

So, what to do? I have some milk frozen, and I offer them a bottle when I can't even milk a drop out. That does not really help when they refuse it!

I have tried fenugreek, it made them gassy. Same with brewers yeast. I eat oatmeal, drink beer, and drinks lots of water. I know there is some milk there, and that cluster feedings are normal. This is beyond that 😩

I also often pump right after feedings to boost supply.

My sisters second baby refused a bottle she used a pacifier to get him used to synthetic feel. ( even though she is very anti pacifier)! It helped as he took a bottle once he got used to pacifier. Not sure if it will help but maybe worth a try! I have also heard of marathon pumping! Pump for ten minutes off for ten minutes m. Do this for an hour! Not sure if that will help either but maybe. Plusi know standard us drink more water. You already do that but maybe drink and eat more! Could help! I also am so impressed a d think your an amazing mom for EBF twins. You deserve a medal! And quite inspiring for those of us feeding singletons! Good luck! Also lol into la Leche league they have an awesome Facebook group for a lot of support!!

I just went bottle shopping today and I can't believe how many there are to choose from! I don't have any advice there as I was totally overwhelmed! But I just read a post on the blog "leaky boob" about oatmeal with "maca powder". It's the first I've heard of it but they said it's a big supply booster. If you look it up search "leaky boob sexy oatmeal"

Are they old enough for solids? My friend's twins also refuse bottles so when they are at daycare they eat oatmeal that contains breast milk. That is the only way they get breast milk while she is at work.

I just want to say that you're amazing for ebf twins!! Good luck, I hope your supply gets a boost soon (which it sounds like it will after the pumping and intense cluster feeding). 
All I'm going to throw out there is thag I use comotomo bottles which most people have never heard of, and my daughter loves them. They really do replicate the breast.

Are you the one offering the bottle to the babies? If you are, try having someone else other than yourself give baby the bottle. Babies will reject bottle if mom is near or insight. Try leaving house when whoever is feeding them. Babies can smell your milk.

I would try the fenugreek  again the gassiness passed for us!

Thanks for all your responses! I've decided to try afipran to increase my supply, and then get a prescription for domperidone when I get home from our holiday. Worth a shot, especially since they refuse bottles!

Do you take fenugreek or eat oatmeal to increase your supply? And maybe switch bottles?

My daughter refused to take a bottle too. It's rough....the best way to increase your milk production is to nurse more often unfortunately. I know it feels like that's all you ever do because that was how I felt for the first 3-4 months and I'm sure it's much worse with two! Just hang in there, it gets better! Good luck!
