Depends on the relationship you have. Honestly my first son (he's almost 11) & i's dad have a wonderful relationship. Never had any drama. He loves my husband. We all get along just fine. He's expecting a new baby.. & if we decided to go on a family vacation, & invite him... I'm 100% sure he would come. With or without his new girlfriend. But we just have a great family dynamic that is very rare & we don't take it for granted :)

Nope nope and some more nope!!! In no way shape or form should they be anywhere alone playing "family"!!  not only does that put ideas in the kids head but also gives opportunity to have feelings sneak back in. The only reason they are still in contact is because of that child. They shouldn't have to do anything together or even talk unless it has something to do with the child. Like really you would let your so go on a "family" trip with a woman he used to have relations with? not uh hunny because it would in the bother you

I'm currently trying to decide if I feel comfortable with this right now. It's not really a trip but my SO's son graduates high school next May and obviously he wants to go and should go. Problem is that we live in California and his son lives with his mom in Arkansas. My SO wants our daughter and I to go with him but I honestly don't want to and I know if I do go his sons mom will make an issue of it. But I'm also not comfortable with him going alone. Last year before I got pregnant his son was wanting him to take a trip out there and his sons mom (who just went thru a divorce cause her husband was cheating) was telling my boyfriend that he can stay at her house to save on hotel costs and his son was begging for them to get back together. I don't know what to do. I don't want my boyfriend to feel like he shouldn't go.
