How did your contractions feel?

I'm 38+1 and have been having severe cramping and tightening for the last 18+ hours, every 4-10 minutes. Laying down doesn't stop it, I'm very hydrated, and the heating pad and tylenol are a joke. I couldn't sleep at all last night and nothing is making it any better today. I was induced with my first at 37w exactly due to severe ICP and I wasn't dilated or effaced at ALL, and the only contractions I ever felt were with pitocin, but this feels very similar. I never had contractions to the point where I couldn't talk through them with my first, so that point of reference isn't helpful to me. I'm just curious if others have had similar experiences or if this is just false labor getting me ready? I'd rather not call or go in unless I'm sure, as it's a major process to get up to L&D at the hospital I'm delivering at. Thanks in advance.
