When to get period

Question

So the bleeding I have after giving birth is that considered my period of should I still have a period coming?
I gave birth October 19th bled for like 2 weeks and I havent had any more. I'm confused on when to expect my period.
No breastfeeding. I'm cramping on my left side just wondering if it was coming since it's been hurting for a few days

Yea that’s not your period, that’s postpartum bleeding. Your period can take up to 6 months to come back, longer if breastfeeding.

I give birth on the 6th October and my first period after started 4 days ago (which I'm assuming is my period it was heavy say 1 and 2 but 3 and 4 haven't been which is what they were like before I got pregnant)

You really can’t have expectations about when you will get your first period after birth. If you don’t breast feed it could be six weeks. If you do it could be six months to a year. And different factors affect the outcome. For example I had jaundice when born so had to stay a few days after my mother went home. She did pump, but it wasn’t as much as nursing, so she got her period back after a few weeks. All my other brothers and sister however it took her a year or more for her period to start again with strait nursing.

That's postpartum bleeding not period. My period came back 13wks after giving birth it can take anywhere from 6wks and up depending on if your breastfeeding for it to come back
