Does atheism and agnosticism have anything to do with evolution? 🤯

“Even if evolution were false, that still doesn’t prove a god exists.” -M.D. That alone (should) answer this question.

It's not because of evolution but general scientific knowledge and discoveries.
Thousands of years ago early humans had no explanation for how the world works so they came up with the idea of god's because at the time it was the only thing that made sense to them. As advancements hand discoveries have been made we now know an awful lot about how the world works, we know why the sun rises and sets, we know why the sky and water appear blue to us even though they are clear, we know how our bodies work. As a species we have less and less need to invent answers and gods just to make sense of things so it's only logical that atheism and agnosticism is on the rise. 
A few thousand years ago the Catholic Church was one of the most scientifically advanced institutions on the planet. They invested heavily in science and promoted discovery because they thought the answers found would bring us closer to god. As the discoveries started to be made that started to disprove the likelihood of the existence of a god, or at least of the god they worshipped, they cut all ties with the scientific community and even went as far as hiding discoveries, destroying evidence and data, having people killed. It's only in recent years as they are losing their control over the population that they are starting to try to get behind science again in an attempt to keep a level of control.

Atheism is simply the disbelief in a deity or deities in general. 🤔 However, many atheists "believe" in science, because of its evidence-based theories.

My husband is Christian and believes in evolution, so.... He also get really angry about the whole "humans are only 6,000 years old" thing lol.
