Which birth control do you have for breastfeeding mamas?

Don’t go on the birth control pill- decreased my milk supply by 1/2 in 3 days of being on it. Off it now, it took 2.5 weeks to get back to how I was.

I’m in the Mirena, I don’t think it’s hurt my supply as long as I drink enough water. However, I am getting spotting on the days I work 🤔

I use the mini pill. The mini pill does not decrease supply like the regular pill. I have not had any supply issues whatsoever. My EBF two month old is 15 lbs (was 7 at birth.) I did not get on birth control while feeding my first baby and my milk production has been about the same this time as it was last time.

The mini pill, it only has one hormone rather than two and I’m told it shouldn’t have to much of an effect on your milk supply. I have not noticed a difference and I’ve been on the mini pill since 2 weeks pp but everyone is different.

The Mirena or the mini pill. After my second baby I got the Mirena it works great but over the years I noticed some side effects. I wouldn’t get it again. I’ve been on the mini pill now after my third and no problems so far.

The Mirena. It is wonderful! It did not touch my supply at all and have had zero side effects.
