My Dr just prescribed it to me but I'm scared to take it... Anyone had any problems taking or know of the risks

My doctor told me she doesn’t prescribe it in the first trimester because it has been linked to heart defects. However, my good friend is a NICU nurse and they prescribe it to severe cases of morning sickness because the benefit outweighs the risks when it comes to mother not being able to keep down water or food.  It depends on person to person. Pretty sure I took it in my first pregnancy and my son is fine.

I took it and baby is totally healthy.  Your doctor prescribed it for you.  They are not going to prescribe something that will knowingly hurt your baby.
