Good evening, I just made this account 2 days ago and I'm not sure if this is the appropriate group for me to post this in so I apologize but I really need a listening ear right now. My boyfriend/fiance of almost 12 months (idk what I was thinking) has been living a lie almost the whole time. He knew I wanted to have a good relationship with my future mother in law (not anymore) because I knew that was important to have and I thought that I did have that relationship because he had been pretending to be her with me over the phone. Whenever we would argue or even when things were good his "mother" would get on the phone and ask what was going on, how I've been and talk to her about different things. "She" would cry to me on the phone and say different things to me about her life, her pregnancy with him and give me "motherly" advice but I found out today by texting the REAL mother on a "new" number that she gave me on Thanksgiving after she lost her phone that it was NEVER her. NEVER !!!! It was him the whole time. I'm so shocked that I can't even cry about it, I broke up with him of course but what should I do, he said he did it because he loves me and didn't want to lose me smfh. I need advice please and thank you !!!!
