Ex in delivery room?

Question

Has anyone ever cut contact with their baby’s father but still opted to have him present for the delivery? I’m getting close and for some reason getting nervous about having him present. I definitely don’t want to keep him away from the babies birth at all but just wondering if anyone had similar experiences they could share.

He can be in your baby’s life without being in the room when you give birth

Its your comfort level he can be with you until it’s time to push and wait outside until the baby is here. Or if you want him in the room he can stay above your head so he can see the baby but not your business. It’s totally up to you. It’s nothing wrong with how you feel though

I don't think I would want the ex in the delivery room. Giving birth is such a personal intimate and experience, if your not on good terms or their is conflict between you it's not going to be pleasant.

I have no experience with this - I'm just here to say it's ultimately about your comfort. It's important you feel as relaxed and safe as you can and if you don't feel that way around him then he can visit but stay outside when you need to focus, then come back in and meet little one after.

I’m kind of wondering the same thing. The father of my child hasn’t even decided yet if he wants to be a part of her life 🙄 and idk .. I told him he has the option to be there because i don’t wanna take that away from him - it’s a major moment - but it’d be awkward for me because I’d want to punch him in the face 🙃
