Sertraline and burning esophagus
I take Zoloft every night and a few months ago had this horrible experience where I took it dry and woke up in the middle of the night with the most awful, painful reflux/heartburn of my life. It lasted for hours and puking, guzzling water, eating didn’t alleviate the pain in the slightest. Turns out if you take it dry it can get lodged in your esophagus and burn it. Fast forward to now — ever since that horrible, long night I’ve been SO careful to take it with a good amount of water — but tonight it’s happening AGAIN despite drinking water with it! I’m so uncomfortable and so frustrated. Has this happened to anyone else? I’m dreading the rest of this night....
