FTM and I am 26+1 pregnant with our first child! Little baby boy Wyatt! The past 4 days o have had the WORST right hip/joint pain. To the point that it’s giving me a headache and I feel like it affecting my whole lower back now! Backstory: I’ve had the easiest pregnancy so far. No sickness. No sadness. Very few emotional outbursts 😩🤣. And I’ve only gained 7 pound so far! And he’s 2 of that (I’m plus-size so not surprising)! So is this pain normal? Will it go away or any I stuck with it for the next 14 weeks?

☝🏻 just a pic that we took that I love 😍

Google Symphysis pubic Dysfunction on YouTube and do the exercises. I have the exact same problem and it’s EXCRUCIATING. Can’t roll over in bed, bend, squat, sit, stand etc without pain, mines mainly in my groin/inner thighs and quite frankly, my crotch in general, it’s most likely your pelvis widening for baby but it hurts like a mofo. I’m right there with you sister! Hang in there. Try an ice pack, Tylenol (if you’re willing to do pain meds) heating pad (no longer than 20 minutes) and those exercises. They’re a lifesaver, if they don’t help, request a Rx for physical therapy or go to a chiropractor from your doc. It’s more than likely that your pelvis is out of alignment like mine. :) hope that helps!

I just went through this for 4 days, went to the e.r twice and turns out my baby was just pressing right on my sciatic nerve. 🙄🙄🙄

I had the same problem. Was really bad while laying down sleeping, but I also fractured my tail bone and rotated my hips backwards 5 years ago. Didn’t think that would randomly cause it to start hurting now, since I’ve gone to the chiropractor for that when it first happened. I called my doctors and asked if I could go to the chiropractor and he said as long as I’ve gone before it was fine to go while pregnant, I called my chiropractor to make sure she did prenatal chiropractic and she did, so I made an appt, and I went 2 days ago to it and my left hip ended up being rotated backwards again, and she said it did that because of my body changing and all of that, plus the added weight from the baby. I’d suggest going to the chiropractor, just make sure with your doctor first. I’m 28w & 6d, and it definitely helped with my back, and my hips.

It's normal. It can be either a pinched nerve, or literally your hips widening and preparing for birth. My hips pop out of place all the time while pregnant because of widening... If it's bad enough take a regular strength dose of Tylenol. It's perfectly safe while pregnant and will really take at least the edge off if not help ease it completely.
