Does he love me... does he not??

I’m getting super mixed signals. Okay so I’m 17, and I went on a date with a guy at the end of 9th grade. A mutual friend sort of set us up. We went on a date and it was fun! He was messaging me immediately after and I could tell he was interested. He came over to my house, we hung out, he went home and same thing really seemed to be interested. Well, I told him that I wanted to stay friends because I wasn’t ready for a relationship at that age. Fast forward to now, just got out of a horrible relationship lol (2 months ago) and honestly I feel like at this point in my life I’m happy and want a relationship! Anyways I posted something on my Snapchat story (we never removed each other) and he messaged me randomly one day and made a comment about what I posted. We talked a ton and he said “maybe we should hangout again?” And I said yeah sure! We ended up seeing each other over the weekend.. and honestly Oml I may just be looking for love but man am I interested. I went to his house, and while I was there he was being flirty and whatnot laughing and when I left he was even laughing too! Only bad thing is I gave him a horrible goodbye kiss because I honestly wasnt prepared RIP. When he left he never messaged me like he did however many years ago, but I messaged him because I’m not someone who “waits for him to text first”. I made a joke about how bad my kiss was and he laughed saying LOL it’s okay. Next day he sent some streaks pic, I replied, he didn’t open it for like 7 hours (he missed school so I assume he was sleeping) and when he did start to answer he just seemed almost not interested? Like not replying often (which he did before we hung out) and joking around like before. Well I kind of couldn’t stop thinking about him all day hahah so I finally messaged him (bc I was kinda worried he lost feelings) asking if he would want to hang out again! He said yeah sure, and then went back to replying far apart and whatnot. I’m getting huge mixed signals. Does he just not want to risk me shutting him down or is he not sure anymore if he’s into me..... HELP
