i went in on Wednesday the 12th at exactly 41 weeks at 10am to be induced

i went in on Wednesday the 12th at exactly 41 weeks at 10am to be induced. i was 4cm and 50% effaced already, (had actually experienced contractions all the day on the 11th, but nothing happened.)

i ws induced at around 11 and then around 1pm my contractions started up. by 1:30 i suddenly went from a level 2-3 pain wise to a 6-7. the nurse checked me around 2 and i was 6cm already, edging on 7. my pain level rapidly increased to a 10 and i asked for an epidural. (btw those things are FANTASTIC)

things had been moving so slowly before this point that my boyfriend had gone down to the caffeteria to get a sandwich but had had to rush back up and eat it with only one hand while i crushed the other, my contractions were so painful and close together.

at 5:42 pm, only about 4.5 hours after labor started i gave birth to my lovely little girl Arielle Renee.

shesnow a week old and sleeping almost all the way through the night. im so very very blessed for this to be my first experience as a mother after hearing some of the stories.
