Depo took my periods away. Mirena has taken my periods away. Paragard made my periods worse. Pills I have tried made no difference: levora, portia and camilla.

Speaking from someone who was on the pill until last year, yes. It alleviated my period cramps by about 50%. They would still be there but they would come in waves and be less intense. I wouldn’t feel the need to take Advil. Since being off the pill my flow is heavier and my cramps are a lot more intense.
