I sound stupid...

I don’t want to but when I explain it to others they look at me like I’m stupid...today I went for my first sweep the MW told me I was 1cm and my cervix were 3cm long and my cervix were right at the front and it didn’t take much to feel baby’s head, why I feel stupid is I didn’t really understand what she ment, is there a good chance I can go into labour if I try all the old MW tails? Is 3cm long a good thing? 🤷🏻‍♀️ I feel stupid asking but I just wanted to know, surely he’s ready if my cervix are right at the front? I’m 38+1
