When to tell people

Just found out I'm pregnant and I dont know when to tell family and friends
Is there a general time frame you wait before telling?
I'm about 2 weeks

I waited until I was in the second trimester

You’re about 4 weeks * & it’s totally up to you when you announce :) I always wait until my first scan to even tell family & with this being my first hopefully successful pregnancy social media won’t know until 16+ weeks when I know gender.

I told my husband right away. 
We waited to tell immediate family until after we had the first ultrasound. (Which for us ended up being around 10w)
Then we did the final announcement to everyone else after the "traditional" 12w mark.

We told family at 13 weeks and we won't be telling anyone else until 18 weeks or when we find out the gender. It's really just what your comfortable with.

I only told people in the first trimester that I would of wanted support from if ever something was to happen. If something bad was too happen I didn’t want to tell everyone I know about my miscarriage, it would of been to hard.

I waited until I was 7 weeks. Because some pregnancy don't make it to 6 weeks.

I told a few select people immediately. But all others I waited until I was 12 weeks.

It is all about personal preference. Many people wait until 12-14 weeks when the chance of miscarriage drops dramatically. Others wait until after the anatomy scan at 20 weeks when you can make sure baby doesn’t have any major structural issues. I announced to close family & friends at 21 weeks. I’m 35+6 & have not shared on social media. My work knows because it is physically impossible to hide at this point & my maternity leave starts tomorrow. Decide what is best for you.
