Am I a bad mom?

Question

Am I horrible for wanting to let my daughter cry? I'm so frustrated, she has been extremely fussy and refuses to be put down, even when she's sleeping. I just went back to work, so my husband and I work opposite shifts currently. I just want some help. She was an angel for him my first day back to work. :-(

When you get frustrated put her in the crib or bassinet for a few minutes and walk away it’s ok to cry for a few minutes to let you cool down

So A. NO YOU ARE NOT A BAD MOM!  Trust me, I think most of us have this thought.  I DI let my son cry a little, though if he becomes distressed I pick him up.  And B. Baby carrier for the win!!  She may be hitting a growth spurt, be teething, or something similar and simply wants your cuddles.  Moms smell different than Dads, so they react differently.  My 5 week old is currently wanting us to CONSTANTLY hold him.  It is driving me nuts because I also have. 21 months old who also wants me to play... yay mom!  Hehehe

Mine will not stop crying. She cries for about 3 hours straight in the late morning and early afternoon. She needs me to always be holding her but not sitting. I have to be standing and walking around with her. The other day I had to put her in her rock n glide thing to change my 2 year old's diaper and she screamed bloody murder and fell asleep. Sometimes when she's super fussy if I just put her down she calms down on her own and falls asleep. She really likes the Christmas tree lights so I lay her on a blanket in front of it. It's really hard not to get frustrated. I used to feel guilty but now I've accepted that I'm human and a screaming baby would get on anyone's nerves.

It's okay to put her somewhere safe and u go regroup and get a couple minutes to yourself.. no shame its overwhelming sometimes!

How many weeks is she? I was reading about the babys first leap at 6 weeks. I guess they get overwhelmed with their surroundings and tend to be a lot more fussy and clingy during this time. My LO is going through the phase and hates being put down.

Sometimes you just need to step away for a little but with my first I was in the same position with husband and me working different shifts. There were times I put her in her crib for a little bit while I calmed down. With my son he isn't wanting to be put down at all when he sleeps he did start sleeping in his swing though now maybe try that.
