White discharge period???

Ok so I haven’t had my period for a long time ( approx. 2 years) and so I don’t have a very regular period. This week though I started my period on Sunday and by Monday it was gone.... or so I thought, there was no more blood, but I’ve had the heaviest amount of white discharge I’ve ever had...... (This is TMI so be warned) I had to use a tampon bc it got so bad and it ended up being full of discharge, like if it was my heaviest period day. I’m a little concerned about it is all and I want some advice
