Severe sore throat

Hi everyone!

So I have had the absolute worst sore throat for the past 5 days. I went to my PCP doctor on Monday and she said it’s not strep just viral but my throat feels like knives shooting down it whenever I swallow. Any advice to combat this? I’ve been drinking hot tea with honey and lemon and have been using lozenges like they are candy but nothing seems to help!! Tired and hurting FTM over here and just want to get a good nights sleep and be able to drink water without pain!
