TTC and just got positive HS2

2 weeks ago, I had a chemical pregnancy. It was my first pregnancy.

Last week, I got what I thought was a pimple. Over the next few days more appeared and it hurt when I peed. I went to the gyno on Monday who told me I have herpes.

I am in disbelief. She asked if my husband had a cold sore or anything. He has gotten the before, but he hasn’t had one recently. We’ve been together over 3 years, and I’ve never seen him with one although he said he’s had them when he was younger.

Anyway, this is all so new to me. Can anyone give me any advice or tips? She put me on Valtrex for now. In the future, what do I do? Are there at-home remedies you’ve tried? I read to dilute tea tree oil in water and dab that on your skin, but my gyno said that’s how I probably developed so many more after my original “pimple”. That was a remedy for folliculitis which is what MedExpress incorrectly diagnosed me with before I saw my actual OBGYN.

Anyway, and help is so, so appreciated. Soaps you use, what you do when you feel symptoms, how often you have outbreaks (that’s what I’m really wondering most is how often to expect this!) does your partner get the same outbreaks as you, etc.
