Finally got 2 positive tests! Where to next?

What is the best thing to do now? I am a new mommy so forgive me if this is a stupid or silly question to anyone!

Your primary will confirm your pregnancy and give you a referral to give to your OB/GYN. I tried going straight to an OB/GYN and the sent me back to my primary to get that referral and confirmed pregnancy . It was annoying lol

I went to primary care first because I didn’t have an OB. She confirmed my pregnancy and referred me to some doctors and gave me some good info. Then I made my first appointment with the OB for 8 weeks

Depends on your insurance if you need to go through a primary dr. I did, so i called my primary care dr, she took me right away and did a blood test and referred me to ob/gyn... they took me at 7 weeks was the earliest.

Thank you both so much for the help! I currently have an ob/gyn so I will contact her right away. I work with chemicals I should not be working with while pregnant and it is very physically demanding so I want to be seen as soon as possible so I do not put my babies life at risk 😭. If I did my math right I am about 6 weeks along.

I didn’t have an OB/GYN before I was pregnant because I had just gotten a new insurance, but I did have a primary care physician. I just made an apt with her & she referred me to an OB

Call your OB/GYN to let them know you had a positive home test. They will most likely schedule you for your first prenatal visit (mine was around 8 weeks). Some doctors will want you to come in sooner to confirm the pregnancy but mine said that home tests are so accurate these days that they didn’t need to.
