Granite dust, help

So we recently moved into a new home and the granite countertops they put in had a lot of dents and scratches. Thankfully they offered to fix it and came over today to fix it while we’re home. So the guy has been sanding down the granite and stuff trying to fix it, and now you can definitely smell it in the air. It feels like it’s being stuffed under my nose and is starting to bother my eyes and I’m like 12 feet away from it. I know these chemicals can be bad while pregnant. If I’m across the room is it dangerous for me? I can’t really leave because I’m the only one here. I didn’t think about getting a mask because I didn’t know what he’d be doing. I’m panicking over here.
