TDap vaccine during pregnancy?

Did anyone opt out of getting this vaccine? I opted out of the flu shot and wondering what your POV was. Thanks for sharing!

No even though I’ve had my booster, I get it every pregnancy at about 36 weeks. Because Pertussis is Whooping Cough & Diphtheria requires a special antitoxin to get rid of it, and even then, the antitoxin might not work. Diphtheria forms a grey membrane in the throat & can cut off breathing. It can’t be treated as easily as anaphylactic shock. Babies can’t get the vaccine until they’re two months.

I opted out of the flu shot and was going to opt out of tdap but had a conversation w the nurse at my ob office baby is being born in the winter and my getting the shot protects baby from whooping cough which can be deadly for a newborn for the first month or so.

I couldn’t get the flu shot because of the reaction I had to it last year (was told by the CDC to never get it again). 
I opted out of TDaP because it isn’t standard where I live to get it during pregnancy, and I won’t be traveling to the US with the baby until she has her shots. I would have gotten it if I was giving birth to her in the states.

Nope. Tdap is an important one. I did refuse the flu shot though.
