Omnivorous question - Why do you eat meat?
Recently I've noticed an increase of posts 'Why do vegans do this?' 'Is veganism abuse?' Do vegetarians do that?'
This isn't a call out post in the slightest, I'm interested why people think it necessary to ask for justification from vegans and vegetarians- Does this stem from dislike? Are you really curious?
So without using 'But it's bacon/steak' 'it's delicious' as the reasoning, because let's be honest they're not thoughtful reasons and definitely not original. Could you answer some questions;
Why do you eat meat?
Have you thought about the repercussions of this diet; Environmental effects, Death/pain/suffering of animals?
Do you think you'll ever change your diet in the future?
Do you feel negatively toward vegans or vegetarians alike?
I do not judge vegans, vegetarians or omnivores- I don't have an opinion on what's right for your individual circumstances and I wouldn't dream of telling anyone what to eat. I'm curious to see how much thought or research has gone into our counterparts lifestyle decisions.
