Breakthrough bleeding?

I am on the pill and 2 weeks before my period was supposed to start I started bleeding so I stopped taking my pill it was light bleeding no cramps or anything and lasted for 6 days not like my normal period..my question is if I'm supposed to get my actual period still? My period was due 4 days ago but I didnt know if I was going to get it or not where I already bleed for 6 days?? I'm still not taking birth control sense I started bleeding 2 weeks ago
