Metformin first month

I am taking metformin and this is my first month with metformin.In starting doctor prescribed 500mg for 2 weeks and then increase up to 1000mg.Currently I’m 8days late 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️I Don’t know is because of Metformin . I got my periods after every 32 days..Doctor prescribed metformin because I have lil High blood sugar 105mg/dL fasting .She said Metformin helps to boost fertility since I am trying to conceive from last 5-6months ...Is somebody experience late periods with metformin ??
