Success!
I was nervous but I had my successful VBAC! I had my 40 week appointment on my due date 12/5 where the midwife swept my membranes. I get home and start to feel contractions at 2pm but they were manageable. By 11pm I tell my husband I think it’s time to go to the hospital so we get there around 12am where I’m told I’m only 2cm and 80% effaced😭 I thought I was getting sent home for sure but they decided to keep me and start induction to get things moving. Well my water broke around 3am before they had actually started the induction and contractions got real😂 I asked for the epidural and got it around 5am. It worked up until I hit 8cm and then it was only working on my legs and not my belly where the contractions were😳 I asked them to redo the epidural because I was in so much pain and the second time took them foreverrrr! They just couldn’t figure it out but they finally got it and I had some relief! (I have 4 spots in my back where they tried to place it, I am one sore momma😂). I get checked again a couple hours later and it’s time to push! 5 minutes of pushing and my baby girl was here! And I didn’t feel a thing while pushing!😂 My little Scarlett born 12/6 at 1:36pm
