Party?

My boyfriend who I trust went to his friend’s party and I ended up not going because I had no one to watch my son. 
It’s a Christmas party he’s throwing with drinks, weed, etc 
My boyfriend doesn’t drink but he does smoke weed. Should I have not allowed him to go without me? My friend told me that she’d never let her SO go to a party without her. 
So now I’m worried.

Your friend sounds like she has trust issues. If you trust your SO then there's no reason he can't go to a party. My husband will go to bars (sports bars not like clubs, just not our thing) with his single friends. I have personal issues so the thought is still in my head but I trust him completely and I know he wouldn't do anything "wrong"

You said you trusted him so why worry? I personally wouldn’t want to go to a party without my SO and vice Versa but everyone’s relationship is different. I would rather stay home if my husband couldn’t go. But that’s just us. If he’s never been unfaithful and doesn’t give you any reason to not trust him then no need to stress out. Sometimes talking to friends about your issues makes you stress more. Which is why I don’t really talk to my friends about my relationship anymore. No one knows your relationship better than you

Well you said you trusted him so there should be no problem. Don't listen to your friend, her bf isn't her property, you're both still separate people within the relationship. If you're okay with it then it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. On another note I probably would've found someone to look after your son coz why should your bf get to go out and have fun but you can't. That's what I'd be annoyed about lol
