I got tdap vaccine w my first pregnancy in 2017 will I have to get another one in my next pregnancy in 2019 if it’s successful going through fet, do they give u one with every pregnancy??

This shot has never been tested on pregnant women, so I wouldn’t get it during pregnancy!!!

It is actually recommended to have the shot after 31 weeks of pregnancy because it protects the baby during the remaining time of your pregnancy and after birth from whooping cough which can be fatal for infants.

This shot is really really scary while pregnant in my professional opinion because most mothers are pushed to get it late in pregnancy. Doctors say to get it so that your baby can't catch whooping cough but the problem is the antibodies don't ALWAYS pass on to the baby and in a case where you get the shot and then have your baby up to 6 weeks later YOU can be a silent carrier of whooping cough holding your brand new baby whom is not immuned and you just passed whooping cough onto your new baby without any idea that was a risk while just trying to protect your baby. Be safe and do the extra reading on this specific vaccine.
