Do the meaning of names matter!?

We love the name Cameron for a boy. But it means crooked or bent nose hahah. 
Do the meanings of names matter 🤔🤔🤔

For me, it does. 
But, as long as the name doesn't mean something terrible and isn't historically connected to bad things or people (ex. Adolph, Lucifer, etc) then you're okay.

Only if those meaning mean something to you. 
We picked names we likes just because we liked how they sounded. How many times have you met someone and, after being introduced, looked up the meaning of their name?
One thing we did do was do some online searches to ask "How do adults with this name tend to present themselves?" That was one recommended I did find useful

I do care about the meaning of names. I love Kamryn for a girl, but with that meaning I just can’t. When I was in school there were 2 different times I remember having to do reports on the meaning of my name. I wouldn’t want my child to have to do that report and be embarrassed.

I think it does, but I don't think it does so much that it has power to change their life. Like i don't think he will have a bent nose, but i personally would want something that has a more positive meaning
