Apples are bad for constipation!
Im posting this because many moms dont realize this and spread false information believing it to be true. Mostly because our doctors dont give us proper information. I was told this by my son's GI specialist and you can also look it up online for yourself.
APPLES AND PEARS ARE NOT GOOD FOR CONSTIPATION IN CHILDREN.
Now let me explain:
Apples and pears have a very high fiber content, just like banana. So, if you are NOT constipated and are trying to simply keep things moving, they're a great choice.
However, if you are a baby/child who is not used to fiber, they can block you up. And if you are already constipated, they will only make it even harder to go!
Now juice is a different story. The high sugar content(even in the no sugar added juices) will normally help move things along. In fact, sugar water or karo syrup ans water are almost always the first go to doctor reccomendation for moms will blocked up babies.
