Are your nipples always sore?

Been breastfeeding and pumping for almost 6 weeks now. My nipples are always sore to the touch. Will they always be like this? The pain during nursing has gotten better but this pain is constantly there...

Almost at 9 weeks and to me they feel very sensitive, like when I get out of the shower and the towel rubs up against them... ugh!

Are you sure you’re using the right size flange when pumping? Your nipples shouldn’t be constantly hurting at this point

It took 6 weeks for nursing to be bearable and by 8 I didn’t feel a thing. Her latch was also wrong and the LCs all said it was normal after some research I fixed it my self after about 4 weeks. Breast feeding is the hardest thing I ever had to do and pumping is miserable. Good luck mama.

I second the flange size. I had to go a size smaller to 21 mm. Adding a little coconut oil to the inside of the flanges was a game changer for me as well! I am pretty sensitive too and it took almost 8-9 weeks to not jump out of my skin when I used a towel, so hang in there!!

Mine aren’t sore anymore, but they are always sensitive to the touch if that makes sense...
