4th Leap vs. Sleep Regression??

Are they the same thing? 
My baby is 14 weeks and going through the 4th leap right now. He’s generally a happy baby with little fussiness. Lately, he is cranky, does eat well and wakes up about 10 times a night. Sooo, I guess I’m just looking for light at the end of the tunnel...

yes same thing. Brain development is hard on babes! Wearing them can help a lot. That’s how I got through it with both girls. Don’t feel like you’re spoiling your baby by keeping them close and holding them. We rocked our toddler and loved her through infancy and she’s an independent child that puts herself to bed at 2 years old. Those days are long and hard but you’ll get through it mama!

My daughter is about half way through the 4th leap but I think (🤞🏼) she’s through the sleep regression. It has been 9 nights of her waking up every 30-60 minutes for the most part all night long. Prior to the regression she was sleeping 2 stretches of 6 hours at night. During the regression I also had to bed share as she would scream if I put her down anywhere else. Tonight we have gotten a 7 hour stretch so far and I just put her down in her crib and she hasn’t screamed.... yet!

This was me it ended like 4 days ago and I know this because it’s been the best 4 nights of the past 7 weeks!!! My boy oh god he started sleeping like an angel at the one month mark and would only wake up twice at night! Well once he hit around 2.5 months the nightmare began and he would wake way too many times at night to even count!!! I thought I was going to loose my $h***. So I guess and I cross my fingers we went through the leap/ regression earlier. I read somewhere and in my case is true, that once they learn something new (in my case he was trying every day to roll over back to tummy he would constantly want to be placed on a flat surface and I would help him) supposedly they think about it too much at night to sleep and also they are beginning to experience the different stages of sleep, that’s why they wake constantly. I don’t know what happened all I know is when he began rolling over four days ago I’ve been sleeping like a queen 👸🏻 They also say this is the time to begin a routine and let them fall asleep on their own. During the regression I had to rock him to bed every time but now he mostly falls asleep alone once I put him on his crib. Hang in there, it can end any day just stay positive and know it won’t last forever although I know it feels like it!!!

My son started a sleep regression around the same time as leap 4. It's been almost 6 weeks and the leap is over and his sleep is getting better. It's still bad and he wakes up a lot, but definitely better. It doesn't take as long to get him back to sleep and he is sleeping slightly longer stretches between waking. Sometimes I still feel like he will never sleep well, but I think there is light at the end of the tunnel!

We’ve started the leap, but I’m realizing from other posts they seem to coincide so I’m just waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Kinsley “fussing” has literally turned into screaming bloody murder if you put her down. She already only had 2-3 45 min naps a day... they are turning into 20-30 mins. It’s exhausting. I’m dreading the repeated waking at night.
