What kind of milk do you give your 2 year old?

My daughter is still breast fed so she’s never had any other milk but mine and I’m not sure what to start offering her as we get closer to weaning. Suggestions? She is on the small side for weight so I’m also looking to increase her calories

We use almond milk. I honestly don’t give her much...pretty much all she drinks is water. But when I do give her milk, I prefer to stay away from traditional milk, as it’s not actually necessary or beneficial.

My son still drinks whole milk but I guess I’ll switch to 2% now. Cows milk does have the right fats they need, if you’re thinking of using an alternative milk you’ll need to make sure you get other sorts of the good fats for their development.

My son still nurses, usually just once before bed.  I rarely ever give him milk in a cup because I don’t think it’s nessesary but if I do, it’s almond milk because it’s all we have, my older kids use it for cereal.

I give my son whole milk and he’s two. I know that if cow milk is hard for a baby/child to digest, goats milk is the next best thing and it’s easier on tummy’s.

We weaned at 16 months because I was pregnant and the only milk she would fake was almond milk . Only lasted for a few months though and now she doesn’t drink milk at all .

I stopped nursing at 22 months and she’s been gaining a pound a month on whole milk. She is also on the smaller size. She didn’t gain any weight from feb-October. Now she is 24lbs.

We use cows milk and she gets 1-2 cups a day. The ped told us at her 2 year appt we could switch to either 1% or 2%. She’s 36” and 31lbs and eats a very varied diet. If you want your baby to bulk up, I would use cow’s milk as well as full fat yogurt/cheese and avocado.

My son drinks ripple, but it's been a few months. He has no interest in milk really. His pediatrician said as long as he gets something like yogurt then it's fine. He eats Greek yogurt for breakfast every morning
