When did you order your breast pump

Hey guys! I had a vob done and found out I get a breast pump for free from my insurance, and maybe this is something I will have to ask them but still... when did you order your breast pump from insurance? Did you have to be past a certain point or did you just order t whenever. Ftm and I just want to be prepared lol.

I was able to place my order through a 3rd party site (acceleron) but I won’t receive it til closer to my due date. I just wanted to get it out of the way and Knew which one I wanted to get.

My Dr submitted  the paperwork  to my insurance around 7 months for my first pregnancy. Call your clinic and see if they help submit the paperwork or if you need to go about it.

I got a prescription from my OB at around 30 weeks. Then I just called my insurance company to ask what to do and they walked me through it. Got it about a week later.

Call your insurance and ask. Some have specific rules about when to order them and some say you need a script from the doctor to take somewhere that sells them.

I just filed it and received it in like a week after they contacted my doctor. There wasn’t a specific time or anything that I get to wait. I believe I ordered around 29-30 weeks.

Both pregnancies I called insurance in my third trimester and got a list of places that they covered. Tried to give them a month to call and confirm I was actually pregnant and get it shipped out.

My insurance nurse called me on Tuesday and said she was sending my pump it should be here within 2 wks. I'm 23wks pregnant. I have a nurse that calls me monthly due to me going in preterm labor with both my previous pregnancies I had them both full term but had to have labor stopped at 33 and 34 wks with both.

I got mine at 23 weeks, it was kinda a fluke though. I had to go to a specialty pharmacy for a brace my doctor prescribed and while I was picking it up they noticed my insurance covered pumps and asked if I wanted to pick that up too.

Normall your insurance waits until birth or right before it but call and talk to them and your doctor also WIC gives pumps out to
