How accurate are growth scans for weight?

Question

I’m 33 weeks 5 days & just had a growth scan & they measured his weight at 4 pounds 9 oz just curious if these scans are accurate or not

Mine told me it would be within a half pound because she can see pretty well on me but it depends on the person she’s scanning. Up to 2 pounds off either way.

I was told my son would be a 9 pound baby 3 days before my due date he weighed 6 pounds , the day before I had my repeat c section they told me my son would be about 6 pounds he came out 7 pounds 3 oz

I was told my daughter would be 8lbs 7oz if she was a week overdue, she was 8 days over and only 6lbs 10oz.

I wonder the same thing! I’ve had people tell me that they are accurate and other people tell me that they could be off by as much is 2 pounds which obviously is insane
