Which did you use for your newborn?

Question

I want to get a recliner for when my baby arrives for breastfeeding and so my husband can also feed and rock the baby to sleep. But I’m wondering how much will I really use/need a chair. My plan was to put it in my room for the first few months so I can breastfeed and also set up my breast pump area. 
Any thoughts?

We splurged on a comfy lazy boy rocker recliner. I love that the top can lean back without having the footrest up. Helped me get into a good position for breastfeeding. Also I slept in the chair for the first week home from the hospital. I tore and laying flat was painful and I also had a hard time getting up out of bed but it was easier from the chair.

I had a recliner that rocked with my first. Glad I had it because I ended up with a C section and I actually slept in the recliner the first 2 weeks or so. Spent a lot of time in that recliner for me and with the baby nursing and rocking. It was used so it eventually broke. We also had it in our room. Just had my second baby and my husband both me 2 new recliners, one for our bedroom and living room so I'd be.comfy taking care of our newborn and 20 month old. We also have a wooden rocking chair which we hardly ever use. Only when we have company and need extra seating.

I have a gliding rocker/recliner and I am SO thankful for it. That + the boppy pillow make life a lot more comfortable.

We got a super comfy recliner/rocker and it was the best decision ever. We spent many nights in that chair as our son never slept through the night til he was 3😳
