Traveling by flight during third trimester?

I am currently 28 weeks, I want to travel by flight when I am 30 weeks during new year time ,my doctor said I have to  travel at my own risk .. and they not ready to give any letter to show airline (I heard that some airlines ask for doctor permission ), is there any risk traveling by air at 30 weeks ?

I traveled at 32 weeks. Honestly your doctor was kind of a jerk for saying that🙄 as long as you aren’t high risk or are having any issues, you will be just fine! Airlines let you travel up to 34 weeks, no problem. 
So just relax and do you!

Most airlines have cut off dates around 34-36 weeks. I used to work for United. It’s precautionary of course. I travel all the time and will be for my shower across the country at 32 weeks. Keep hydrated and wear compression socks. Don’t be afraid to get up and walk around every hour or so.

Whatever you do follow the same rules for traveling long distance in cars. Make sure you stay hydrated and nourished, get up and go for walks during the flight and change positions of how you are sitting frequently. The concern for flights is the same as cars... blood clots. Just keep moving and hydrate and things should be ok. But like others say each body is different and each person can experience different things.

I have been told there is a risk of going Into labour. I don’t think you would want that to happen up in the air in a plane without a doctor. And I think airlines would need doctors permission if your that far along because they don’t want you to give birth on the plane. And if your doctor advises against it then it’s best to not to go.

I'm flying at 31 weeks. Sorry your doc won't ok it. Way to print out labs or ultrasound to prove how far along you are? Airlines will let you fly at that stage, might just have to prove it.
