EIF and some fluid in the kidneys 😩😩

Hi everyone. This is my first baby, first time posting, and I’m kind of on the verge of a breakdown. We had our 18 week ultrasound yesterday. Found out the gender (it’s a girl!) and as the sonographer was going through everything, she kept saying everything looked good.

At the end, right as we were about to leave, she mentioned our baby had a little bright spot on her heart (EIF), and a small amount of fluid in her kidney. She said it was “less than 3ml, not to worry, don’t cry, and don’t freak yourself out with googling,” but I’ve been doing all those things!

I came home and just a few google searches brought me to the Down syndrome soft markers, and how these things on their own are fine, but together can be troublesome. Most people, from what I read have had one or the other, but I’m struggling with all of my feelings, and I just want everything to be okay. No matter what, I’ll love my sweet baby girl, but this was not something I was expecting at all. I’m 28, healthy, and so is my husband.

Any one out there that has experienced both of these? Outcomes? What to expect next? We didn’t do any early bloodwork for this exact reason, because I didn’t want to stress my entire pregnancy, but now I’m kind of wishing we had. 😩
