Would you be mad?

So my bfs bday is always the week of my finals. For the past 3 years I have finished either the day of his bday or the day or earlier so was able to be with him. Well this year I am at a school 4 hrs away and my last final is Monday morning. Well all the past years I have been there and the weekend after always with his family. Well this year on the most non important bday (we were together when he got his license, 18th, 21 etc) his parents decided to rent a huge ballroom out and invite over a hundred people...and I wasn’t invited. Like yes I get that I would had to have drive and all but if I was invited I would have asked my teacher if I could taken the exam early and if not still would have went and just left early tomorrow morning to get back and study. I just truly don’t get it. His family I doesn’t like me so that’s why I wasn’t invited. But knowing this you think when they planned my bf would have said something to me/them. I just don’t get it and it hurts even more when my mom was like they didn’t even invite you- like I knew my bf was doing something tonight but he just told me it’s a huge party for him.
