Is sneak peak worth it ?

I’m in Canada- and we get the genetic bloodwork but you have to pay $500 to find out the gender- unless the initial bloodwork comes back abnormal- is the sneak peak test worth it ? Knowing there’s this technology out there to find out the sex of my baby earlier makes me so excited but I’m trying to convince my husband the same !

Hard to justify the cost after baby is born. With my first we spent 200 on an individual scan. To which I haven't hooked at in over 8 years. It's hard to contain the excitement but it gives you something to look forward to. Depends on your financial situation but I could use 500$ towards 500 other things

No! That cost is crazy! Imagine what you can do with that when baby comes. I say wait. Be patient. I know it’s hard.

I'm in Albertaand my Dr said it costs 500-600$ for the blood test and gave me a read up on the 16 week nuchal scan and blood work. I'm going to do that and if they can tell me at that 16 week scan then great if not I'll wait until my 20 week one. Not worth that money as bad as I want to know.

I did it, but then found out a couple weeks later I can do it through a blood test at my doctor. So now I’m waiting for those results before letting people know.

It's 99% accurate, and even ultrasounds can be misread. I say go for it! I am. :)

for the price, I thought it was fun. we definitely Italy wont announce the gender we get from it until confirmed by ultrasound though.

We won’t announce until we confirm, but it said girl, and I’m thinking it’s right given my own inkling.
