What would you class as a persistent headache?

I’ve had a headache since Saturday night. I’ve tried paracetamol, a cold compress on the forehead and neck, saline nasal spray (I feel congested). I don’t want to start worrying about preeclampsia etc as I don’t think I have any other symptoms, but this headache is really affecting my sleep and day!

I’m sorry - that sucks. I personally wouldn’t worry yet as it’s only been 36ish hours. Make sure you’re drinking lots of water and possibly have something with a little caffeine in - if only a coke. Take paracetamol every 4-6 hours particularly before you go to bed. 
If it doesn’t go away by Wednesday, then I might contact dr. Though of course if you’re worried about it and that’s adding to the headache, then contact earlier. 
I often have headaches that last a few days - only a couple during pregnancy though. It’s harder during pregnancy as we can’t take ibuprofen so they tend to linger.

Hiya, Ive had constant headaches and migraines for about 3 weeks. I also had swelling on my legs, I’ve had nosebleeds of a morning and bad sickness throughout the day. At one point I ended up being sick blood from what was in my nose! 🙈 at my last midwife appointment I asked about all the symptoms and apparently everything is fine and all normal. I was advised preeclampsia is more or less if you have extreme swelling, she said the headaches are completely normal but if it becomes to a point it’s really worrying you then go to your GP because they can provide medication which is safe in pregnancy. I hope they clear up for you I know it can be tough. Best wishes xxx

I am 16 weeks and I get 2 or 3 a week ! I found paracetamol plus ( so with caffeine) really helped . I kept reading about caffeine helping  ( I had cut caffeine out ) do I gave it a try and worked wonders !
