I left him in bed because he was fighting his usual nap time routine and I was running out of time to get ready for an appointment. He normally never leaves bed, even if it's his normal time to get up in the morning. He waits for me to go pick him up out of bed. When it's not nap or bed time he'll get in and out of bed easily, but he knows he's supposed to stay in bed during sleep times; though I've never had to do anything to suggest that. I think he had formed the habit from his crib time. Just before I went to take the parent monitor into the shower, I checked it and saw Roran get out of bed and run over to play with his dresser handles. I opened the door--hadn't said a word yet--and he gasped, sprinted back to bed, dove into it, and then sat there staring at me calmly. I think he was shocked that I knew he was out of bed 😆
