So, I’m planning on coming out to my parents as trans (ftm) during Christmas break, but today my step dad and I were talking and apparently there’s a place that makes trans students get a completely different cabin than the other kids, he said “because they’re ‘transgender’...” he used air quotes when he said transgender, he also used “either a girl that wants to be a boy, or a boy that wants to be a girl, I can’t remember” which kinda made me upset bc we don’t WANT to be, we ARE, and I just feel so confused now bc he says that he’s not against lgbtq+ people but he doesn’t understand why there isn’t a white history month (bc there’s history months for poc and other races) and I think he might just be misinformed about some of this, but idk if I should come out anymore,,, I need advice

EDIT: I forgot to add that he also said “I don’t judge people on who they like or anything like that, I only judge them based on how they act towards others and if they’re nice or not”
