Retin A Treatment

A couple months, I had a really bad reaction to Shea Moisture Black soap which broke me out in severe hives and redness. After applying hydrocortisone and getting prescribed Benedryl and Hydroxinine at the hospital, I would let my skin heal by not applying any else to it. Well, big surprise when I began to develop SEVERE hyperpigmentation and acne all over my face. It were as if I was wearing a facial mask.

How has Retin A worked for anyone? I’m on it now, (0.025%), and I’ve been on it for a couple days and already have a lot of peeling and dryness.

I use it at night, in addition to Differin Gel in the day. And I use the “buffering” method with Cereva Daily Lightweight Lotion.

I also wear Elta MD Sunblock Spf46 that I got from my Dermatologist. I’m not a sunblock wearer as it breaks me out, but I love this Elta MD!!! It’s perfect as a primer as well.
