Is primer a must?

I'm just getting into makeup and I'm not sure if I really need to spend my money on face primer, I see people saying primer is a life changer but I also see people saying primer doesn't do anything and to just use moisturizer. Will moisturizer before foundation work or do I need a primer? Anything will help, thank you!

they have a good elf primer and its like $3-$10 tops. I used the palish green one. its clear when it comes out of the pump but the bottle was pale green.

If people are saying primer doesn’t work, then they’re not using the right primer. You should look into what works best for your skin and the makeup you use, but yes primer is a game changer

Priming helps protect your skin because honestly makeup can hurt your skin (clog your pores and cause more breakouts). I prefer priming, though I remember the days of not priming 😂

The only primer I use is when I'm painting a car.. or Painting my walls lol but I guess if you're doing a full face of make up it's probably a good idea.
