Christmas shopping, disaster

So last week we went Christmas shopping, for the last two years so we hadn’t been in town we traveled for Christmas, this year we stayed home since we now have a 5 month old daughter it just wasn’t convenient, to drive out anywhere and we certainly don’t have the money to fly either.

Anyway we invited my mother in law because she’s always making comments at how we’re always out with my boyfriends brother and his wife and she’s never included so we invite her & we were at the mall we had made about 3 stops between me & my boyfriend we had to get about 12 gifts total not including ourselves . And my daughter has a pooped diaper I went into the restroom there was a Cinnabon across from the restroom so everyone went over there while I was changing the baby, my mother in law followed me into the restroom and started telling me “so what are you gonna pay for, why does my son have to be buying your family presents” and i was like “okay first of all it’s none of your business if he’s buying the presents your just mad that you got payed yesterday and you already blew your check and since he’s not giving you what you want your trying to come at me sideways” I walked out of the bathroom and I told my boyfriend he needed to put her in check before I did because it’s not the first time she tells me shit, he makes more than enough money to let me be a sahm I’ve asked many many times to let me get a job but he refuses because he wants me to care for our daughter, who I struggled so much to bring into this world.

His mom hates me and my sister-in-law, and we’re really close friends and she hates that my sister-in-law has two girls I have one so we’re always including each other in random stuff she gets mad she has treated both of us like shit and when I was telling her about what she told me my mil interrupted me and said “both of you are selfish making my sons spend money on your shitty families” I got mad and told her if she couldn’t respect me or her then she needed to figure out what she was going to do because I’m tired of her always treating us like shit both of her sons put her in her place. She starting crying at the mall and throwing a tantrum on how they always make her feel less, and she’s always throwing in their faces the sacrifices as a mother she’s made for them. My boyfriend told her she needed to apologize and stop acting childish and she said if they’re gonna come first forget you have a mother and left the mall.

Now Christmas is approaching and she texted me like everything was okay she even asked so did you end up getting me a present? I didn’t get anyone anything but you should get me something... I didn’t reply to her
